Personal Experience
I found the Oboz Bridger’s to be more comfortable then any other hiking boot I tried on. I went into the store to purchase a different pair of boots but the staff recommended that I try a lot of boots on to make sure I found the right one for me. It took me more then 1 hour trying on probably 8 different pairs of boots, not counting multiple sizes in each pair, before I knew the Oboz Bridgers were the right pair of waterproof hiking boots for me.
The felt a little stiff initially, but now after hiking on more then 20 trails here in Colorado with them, they are extremely comfortable and I love having them as part of my top items in my hiking gear.
I have been hiking in 20 degree weather, in deep snow, ice, mud, steep terrain and in nice dry conditions and I have been extremely happy with these boots.
On one of my recent hiking trips, I was hiking in snow that varied from 6 inches to about 2 feet and having these Oboz Bridgers along with some great hiking pants, the Kull Silencer Rogues, I never had any snow get into the inside of my boots or pants. I need to add some gaiters and snow shoes to my pack but I was surprised at how well I did in the snow on that hike.
Final Thoughts
I understand that everyone’s feet are different and we use our boots in different ways and conditions but you should check out these boots if you are a serious hiker or backpacker.

Hello Rick, thank you for this good and helpful review!
I really like hiking, especially when weekends arrive. And as we know, that in addition requires excellent physical health. We also need good gear too, one of which is boot. I also have a pair of hiking boots with the Oboz brand, but the type I have is different from the type you are reviewing.
I admit that Oboz is a good brand, especially if you can provide a perfect review (rare) for this type, I think I should try having a pair of these boots too.
By the way, as far as you do hiking with this boot, have you ever experienced slipping while hiking? Because I’ve experienced it several times with the boot that I have. Whether it’s just because I’m lacking in skill or someone else also experienced it (I wonder).
Hi Kylie.
Is the slip on the terrain or your foot slipping inside the boot? If inside the boot then it’s an easy fix as having the right shoe size.
If you’re talking about slipping on the terrain, no, I haven’t had any slipping issues, other then the standard things like slipping on wet surface, especially muddy, icy or snow conditions.
I always carry my ICETrekkers and Leki trekking poles with me when the conditions worsen and I will be buying snow shoes in the next week or two.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Rick
Hey Rick!
These Oboz boots look pretty nice, high-quality, and suitable for hiking under severe weather conditions! As a person who has taken some longer on-foot trips in the past years, I would surely have needed such a resistant kind of boots to rely on.
From their presentation I understand that Oboz boots are strong enough to be repeatedly used, and I suppose that they are not hard – by ”not hard” I mean they should allow us to make large steps, without hindering our walking speed! I am also speedy when making steps, so if I were to wear such boots I would really enjoy walking at 7-8 kilometers per hour with them:).
Best regards, Peter
Hi Peter. Thanks for the comments and thoughts on the Oboz Bridger boots.
They really are great boots. The only problem I can find so far is that they are so comfortable that I end up wearing them around the house and to work some times. I know I am wearing them out faster but they are really comfortable.
I hike at different rates as sometimes I am stopping to take pictures and videos or just to enjoy the scenery, but I have also hiked fast at times, especially on the last hike so that I could get back to have dinner with my family and the boots were extremely comfortable at faster speeds. I also use my Leki trekking poles to help propel me along when I want to move faster.

Awesome review for these Oboz Hiking Boots, Rick.
I’m just like you when it comes to trying on boots or shoes, gotta try a bunch of different ones to make sure I get the right fit. If you’re going to have your feet in something for hours on end, it might as well be good.
Hey do you by chance know what temperature these boots are good up to?
Oboz doesn’t list a temperature range but I saw one review that said they are good to -40 degrees F.
Personally, I have been in +20 degrees F in 2 feet of snow and kept plenty warm. I’m not sure about -40 and I’m not sure I want to go out and test that temperature out. Good socks also play an important role in how warm and dry your feet stay. I use SmartWool and have several different thickness socks for the different conditions.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
Rick
